I am inspired and impressed with our female crowd! It was a night of PB’s for the ladies.
3 Women started in the A group this week!
-Chloe looked great but went home early (there is big money on the line this weekend).
-Kathy rode like a STAR pushing with A group leaders most of the night.
-Me….I owed Noel 1 lap. I did him one better. Focus, focus, focus all the way to Douro – No grocery lists were made during last night’s ride
And 2 Women started in the B group!
-Jody has made it her furthest yet. And her Tuesday TT is getting faster by the week. It must be Thursdays, right mom?
-For the record…Tanya is BACK!! She had her best ride this year as well.
We are still looking for the rider who carried home the Lanterne Rouge last night. Last but not Least. You’ve earned it
My goal was to get to Bells Corners! I like to make mini goals to myself so I don’t get so discouraged.
I made it to Bells Corners and continued towards Rock Rd. Just before the hill I wanted to get ahead so I could get start the hill before everyone. That way as I slowed down I could catch a wheel. Unfortunately I thought the hill was closer and led out way way too early. Everyone must have thought what the heck is she doing.
The group caught up just before the hill and I got spit out the back.
Still had fun. It was a beautiful night.
Kudos to Casey for completing the A group ride with the pack. You rock!

It is Mountain Bike Week at Wildrock! Take a peek at what is happening.
The Flat Tire Clinic is a great way to get comfortable changing your own flat. You do not have to be MTBer for this one – valuable practice for road cyclists too.
The week will wrap up with the movie premier Strength in Numbers. Flirtees will be giving away 3 Singletrack Diva Tshirts. Don’t miss out.

Take a look at everything Wildrock has going on this week.
Distance:70 km (Paul’s Classic Hilly always feels longer than 70 km)
Flirtees will be awarding QOM and KOM for both A and B Group!
Bribed by a button, I did the whole thing! With so many escape routes, that doesn’t happen very often for me on Hilly Night.
I don’t even think I can blame Prison Hill for getting dropped. I tried – I forced my way to the front hoping all you men would just be polite and stay behind me (Thank you Tim for the grand idea). That worked for a bit and then everyone had had enough.
Just my luck! These were my real issues lastnight
Lack of focus: gabbing too much. On good nights I keep pretty quiet – no fun really but it is a good sign that I am actually focused
I missed my routine pee spot before hwy 28
Make shift bathroom break = muddy shoes
A group left and I had a muddy shoe/pedal issue. Pinned it to catch up. (Thank you Zac for waiting)
And then came Prison Hill.
Rhys and I regrouped and created a new plan – to hold off the B group as long as we could. Thanks for the ride and teamwork Rhys!
